Isn't she a peach!!

Well I was out smarted by my 5 year old daughter. Yesterday morning we were hurrying around the house getting ready to leave and drop everyone off at daycare and my sisters. Brynne asked me if she could bring her purse to daycare with her. I noticed it was very full of toys and told her no she couldn't bring it. I was considering letting her bring one of her smaller toys when she suddenly told me that she could bring her purse if she wanted to. With that snotty attitude I told her not only she couldn't bring her purse she wasn't bringing any toys with her for a while and you don't ever speak to a parent like that. Unacceptable behavior! We left for school. This morning when I dropped her off our daycare lady let Brynne know she forgot her purse and asked if she would like to give it to me to take home. I was so angry that she had took it to daycare when I told her not to. She looked at me real sheepish and told me she was sorry. I told her she was in a lot of trouble and we will be discussing it tonight with Dad. When I got into the car I started thinking about yesterday and how she could have snuck it past me when I remember that her backpack was really stuffed full. I even asked her what was in her backpack and why was it so full. Cool as a cucumber and quickly told me that it was just paperwork from school. I said that it was really full and didn't she want to leave some at home to make it easier to carry to and from school. She said no I'll empty it out tonight it was okay. She was real sweat too. I just thought okay we're in a hurry and we'll empty it out tonight. Boy she's a good liar, even at 5. I'm going to have to watch out for that one!!

Happy New Year!!

I can't believe we are already in 2009.  They say as you get older the time passes by so fast.  Well it's true, I think it's having kids that makes it go by so fast.  I hope you all have a wonderful year!!  May you all be blessed!

Amazing!  I was surrounded by my loved ones and had a great time.  Thank you for making me feel so special :-)

Winter Wonderland

This is the first time that I can remember really being stuck inside by snow.  It really started to come down on Saturday and by Saturday night we didn't dare venture outside.  It snowed all day yesterday and all day today.  We have at least a foot of snow.  It is so beautiful and amazing.  I hear we will most likely not see this kind of weather again for another 40 years.  Who knows with global warming and all what kind of weather we are likely to see, it's any one's guess.  At least for now we can enjoy a beautiful winter day.  It does look like we live in Michigan though.  I've included a picture of the pool which looks like we don't have one with all of the snow covering it.  I love this weather (just not driving in it, wish me luck going to work tomorrow).  However, Andy just tried to see if he would be able to make it in the Accord tomorrow morning, he was just going to take it around the neighborhood to see, and it got stuck.  When he called me a few minutes after he left, I thought he would be stuck around the corner, no, unfortunately he was stuck at the end of our driveway.  I also included a picture of this as well.  The Accord is sleeping in the cold tonight.

Getting ready for Christmas

The weekend after Thanksgiving we thought since the weekend was going to be nice and dry we went to find out tree.   The following weekend was going to bring a lot of rain.  Will was very funny walking around all of the trees and although we didn't have Nathan, the kids had a great time tree hunting.  We had Nathan back that night so we all decorated the tree as a family.  I really hated this growing up when mom would turn on Christmas music and make us all decorate the tree.  I guess I loved it as a young child but grew to think it was annoying as a teenager.  Now I love it and copy the exact tradition my mother did for us.  I know my children love it now but I know soon the day will come they will hate it, but will continue on with the tradition.

Happy Thanksgiving

Okay now I know I'm a slacker but I am now trying to make up for the lack of entries.  Quit your bitchin' Brooke!!  Here you go.  I'm going to start with Thanksgiving then work forward.  Things have been wonderful and even though I was not able to spend Thanksgiving with my immediate family, we had a great time up in Olympia.  It was crazy but we all had a fantastic Thanksgiving.   Here you go enjoy and I love you all!!
